The adversities they face and survive inspires us, giving us the strength and courage
to be their voice.
Advocating Wild acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, gather and operate and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

Our Advocacy
The Grass Roots Community Empowered
Founded in 2020, the team at Advocating Wild has worked together since 2013, leading and supporting numerous successful wildlife campaigns and events in Oceania, Asia, Europe, Africa and the United States of America.
Through awareness events, social media, petitions, articles, submissions and boots-on-the-ground efforts, we advocate that wildlife remain in the wild, free from human interference and not held in captivity for the purposes of entertainment or *breeding.
We actively support protection of the natural environment and believe this is fundamental to keeping wildlife wild, rather than normalising the idea that we save wildlife by removing it from habitat.
We work to hold business owners, authorities, decision-makers and leaders to account. Through direct, transparent and respectful dialogue, our aim is to create positive change for both captive and free-ranging wild animals, with particular focus on marine mammal species.
We are supported by and often work in partnership with our extensive network of renowned conservationists, animal protection organisations and scientific advisors.

Wild Lives
To live a wild life is not easy – to advocate for wild lives even harder.
"There are countless challenges that can make conservation of wildlife and protecting landscapes and environments from destruction seem almost overwhelmingly difficult...and perhaps even sometimes impossible. And yet I know very few conservationists who give up. We stay inspired because there are numerous sources of inspiration, despite the overwhelming challenges. The animals themselves and the incredible places of wilderness in the world remain an eternal source of inspiration. They are beautiful, sentient and fascinating and they need the help of people who understand that the world can only survive if it is diverse and there is space for all the creatures and varied ecosystems to exist. The people who are committed to and engaged in conservation are not just a handful of eccentrics but people of all nationalities, all levels of education, all cultures and religions. This incredible cohort of intelligent, dedicated and often unbelievably brave individuals is a true community and movement of people that represent the diversity of humanity in all its most
wonderful forms."~ Annette Lanjouw
